Upside to a Down Real Estate Market

We recently helped a client purchase their new dream home!  This really could be one of my favorite tasks of my job.

This family has 3 children: ages 17, 15 & 10.  They moved from a home that was roughly 1050 square feet, it was a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom.  The two boys shared a small room, that was a renovated former one car garage.  The kitchen was small, the living room was small and the yard was even smaller.

For their former home, they paid $850 per month, which in the big picture seems like a relatively low amount to pay for monthly living expenses.

We were able to help this family UPGRADE THEIR LIFESTYLE!  Their new home is 5 bedrooms/ 3 baths, all the kids have their own bedroom.  The home is roughly 3,000 square feet.  They had a family room, living room, dining room and a loft space- tons of family space.  The home has a pool and a huge yard for the kids to play soccer and entertain their friends.

For their new home, the family pays $940 per month.  So for an extra $90 per month, the family gained almost 2,000 square feet, a pool, 3 additional living spaces and a huge yard!  I forgot to mention a 2 car garage as well.

If you have thought of purchasing a home, interest rates are at an all time low!  Prices are low too!  This is a win win for home buyers.  Why not think about upgrading your lifestyle?
